Not really photography, more videography but fuck it.
Ive got a Samsung VP-L905D camcorder from my parents.
Battery is dead (killed it with overvoltage while trying to charge it with a breadboard and a broken power supply) and ive got no charger.
I went on amazon to look for batteries and chargers and found some, but to save the videos i record for the future i would need to digitize them.
To do this i decided to buy a S-Video to USB cable since my camcorder has an S-Video port.
The problem arises from this post on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/camcorders/comments/1335bgu/beginners_guide/
Looking at the guide i noticed that the S-Video doesnt have a standard pinout, it can be anywhere between three and eight pins, which is stupid.
Note: I bought the cable before knowing this, i just thought that all S-Video cables have the same amount of pins.
Did i just waste 10 Euros?
Note 2 (About digitizing): How on earth am i suposed to digitize the audio, the camcorder only has the S-Video port, i dont think it transfers audio too, does it?
